Inventory is created
One of the most difficult things was done, namely inventory and everything connected with it.💼
Character inventory system:
- Putting things in the right slots
-Display them on the character and animation depending on the character's pose.
-System of parameters of things and their display (damage, strength, type, etc.)
-Easy addition of new cells and parameters as needed.
-Dumping things on the floor and picking up (that is, you can take things not only from another inventory)
-Inventory for chests, NPCs and corpses
-Ability to specify the number of cells.
-Easy indication of content
-NPCs can wear things. You can specify the starting ones when creating and change during the game.
Other:
-Rotations of the character behind the mouse or in the direction of movement (most likely it will be behind the mouse)
- Collision with obstacles
-Object overlay system (so that those that are higher are higher and those that are lower are respectively lower. And all this changes situationally. For example, on the last screen you can see how the NPC is standing behind the bars, and our character approached her from the front)
-Key to open doors
-Lighting
In fact, all this was very difficult to do. It took a lot of time and it didn't work the first time.
Without https://dmitriysalnikov.itch.io, this probably would never have worked.
But a ready-made and properly made inventory system is very cool.
